Even the Pro Version Cannot Prune Old Backup Sets Properly

You configure the UpdraftPlus settings to take daily backups, and keep 30-days worth. Each day when the backup executes, it should prune backups older than 30 days, right? Yes, it should, but it does not.

While browsing bucket files in the backups folders, there were several unexpected entries older than 30 days for several sites. Some were *WAY* older than 30 days, like over a year old.

When you visit the respective website, you notice that these backups are listed there as well. In most cases, anyway. Sometimes you have to manually trigger the ‘Rescan remote storage’ option in order to see them in the ‘Existing backups’ list.

Regardless, why are these backs still showing up? It is obviously well past the 30-day retention period, and the backups do not have a ‘lock’ on them preventing automatic pruning. They *should* have been pruned!

It is a mystery to me.
