Problematic AI, or Dipshit Moderator?

Recently, I received a notification from a malware scanner than an exploit was discovered in the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin. I verified the source of the report, and then turned to the WordPress forum to ask about what I found.

I posted in the support forum for this specific plugin and asked if currently there were any known exploits with the plugin. I received an email some time later from a “Support Moderator”. Honestly, it made me laugh.

This ‘Support Moderator’ stated “Dont [sic] ask for exploits on WordPress forums”. Wow, really? I came to ask the author of a free plugin about a reported exploit that I received a notification about, and I get slammed for asking for an exploit?

Seriously, how fucking ignorant does this Support Moderator have to be to read the entire post, which clearly detailed the report I referenced. Maybe they didn’t bother to read it? Maybe some AI agent was triggered by the word “exploit”?

Still, if it was an AI agent, wouldn’t you think that it would know how to spell properly?

This turned out to be an even bigger annoyance because ever since then, *every* single post or review I create in the WordPress Forum gets an automatic hold for moderation. FUCK WORDPRESS!!!

I ended up reporting the issue directly to the folks at Yoast. At least they were interested. Somewhat. It did not seem to be a high priority to them.
